After gaining practical experience while moving up the ranks in hotel management with major chains, Robert joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as a Senior Development Analyst during its growth from 100 to 465 properties and its transitions from a C-Corporation to a REIT (Patriot American) and back to a C-Corporation as Wyndham International. His combined operations and finance/development experience led him as CEO of the start-up Luxotel International to Moscow, Russia. After returning to the Bay Area his entrepreneurial spirit came to fruition. He started, owned and operated Amigo Realty, Inc., an Allstate Insurance agency and acquired, renovated and managed three commercial retail/office properties in Oakland, CA.
Robert brings to PCVI a unique skill set and experience that trails from the Rendezvous Restaurant at the Berkshire Hotel in NYC to the interval ownership Galleon Resort & Marina in Key West and leading to the Wyndham International corporate office in Dallas, TX, around the globe to the Caribbean, Moscow, Hong Kong, Mexico and the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Havana, Cuba, a native Spanish speaker and having first hand familiarity with many cultures and diverse backgrounds, he is effective and enjoys working in any environment from a neighborhood business association meeting to a corporate Board room.
